About the role

Responsibilities: Drive qualification activities for new product implementation in the form of MPP, PFMEA & Control plans. Analyze, design, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for generator components and assembly in the form of MOPs & SOPs for every component well in advance to the start of production. Work out optimum handbook hours for every project. Envisage, prepare or drive tool design preparation for the specific processes that aids in ease of process, ergonomics & error proofing. Drive procurement of tools for timely delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production to ensure process alignment and execution. Preparation of detailed lifting Plan of components for normal and critical lifts with thorough risk assessment in line with EHS Framework and LSPs. Validation of MOP Hours and process steps with shop. Support Shop Planner for project scheduling and outsourcing of process activities ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Identification and resolution of technical issues prior to the start of activity and during the production processes with need based consultation with engineering and lead factory. Provide proposed dispositions for NCRs and coordinate with engineering as applicable and implement corrective actions in future jobs. Record the learnings and process improvements and sustain through continuous updation of manufacturing process. Usage of various quality and lean tools viz. VSM, PFMEA, 8D and 5S Empower and support shop engineers and technicians for process change suggestions and implementation. Continuously improve manufacturing process, identify bottlenecks and propose solutions. Suggest and participate in vendor development activities. Key Performance Indicators: EHS On Time Delivery COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) control New product qualification Root cause analysis & Risk assessment Tool design and implementation. Qualification & Experience : Diploma/BE : Mechanical/Electrical having 3-5 Years of min. experience. Min. 1 Year of experience in generator field is desired. Desired Skill set: Know how in automation and robotics applications. Experience in engineering design software (AutoCAD, CATIA,UG etc). Good process engineering capabilities and analytical skills. Thorough understanding of Engineering Drawings, Standards and Specifications Strong focus on EHS & quality. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to identify and implement cost reduction strategies based upon process improvements and experience. Ability to develop credibility with employees, manager and peers Strong organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy of every task. Vendor development skills for new products and processes. Demonstrated integrity - accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others.
