About the role
As an Associate Principal Engineer at Aristocrat, you play a vital role in the Agile/Scrum-based software development team, contributing to innovation and excellence in our gaming products. Your responsibilities include: - Leading Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) to create robust and scalable software solutions. - Applying advanced C++ (11/14) to develop high-quality code meeting strict performance standards. - Developing and debugging software for Linux and Windows environments. - Utilizing tools like Visual Studio, SVN/GitHub, GDB, memory profiling, and static/dynamic code analysis for flawless software performance. - Implementing continuous integration systems to streamline development processes. - Engaging in the full application lifecycle using Agile methodology. - Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges. - Communicating effectively and collaborating within a diverse team. - Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge to foster continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications we are looking for in an ideal candidate: - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Demonstrated experience in the gaming industry is advantageous. - Strong background in C++, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to mentor team members and successfully lead projects.
