Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer I (Manual Testing) at Aristocrat, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the products meet high-quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze new features and improvements to define test scope, dependencies, and risk areas. - Build, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. - Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing to ensure flawless product performance. - Ensure completeness and accuracy of testing artifacts and checklists. - Provide clear test status updates and defect metrics for releases. - Record, monitor, and confirm defects using tools such as JIRA and Zephyr. - Perform detailed root cause analysis and provide valuable insights to development teams. - Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes. - Utilize debugging and profiling tools (e.g., Valgrind, Google Sanitizer) to identify performance and memory-related issues. - Follow established QA processes and standards, while seeking opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance testing efficiency. - Contribute to enhancing test strategies and operational practices. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent. - 3-4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering. - Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycles. - Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. - Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate application code for testing and root cause analysis. - Working knowledge of at least one scripting language, preferably Python. - Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, etc.). - Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting experience using industry-standard tools. - Familiarity with profiling utilities like Valgrind and Google Sanitizer. - Experience with source control systems such as Git. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to identify automation opportunities.
