About the role
CAD Trainee - PLM is a contractual position and should work with the global RMI engineering team for migration of CAD & their related documents into ARAS22 PLM. Should be able to prepare ECOs for changes and do necessary follow-ups with cross-functional team for approvals wherever required. Should be completing the tasks within established standard effort hours and meet quality metrics. Job Description Should have a clear understanding of Engineering drawings, ECO/ECNs, revisions. Knowledgeable in PLM & its relative functions Hands-on experience in any CAD software (Preferably SolidWorks) Should be able to create models/complex models & drawings using CAD software. Work with project team to execute projects on time. Read and understand 2D drawings and 3D models. Make corrections to the drawings as and when required through EAR & ECO Create and update the database of design records for future reference purposes. Assist team in CAD drawing and designing tasks, when required. Able to co-ordinate with cross-functional teams for ECO/EAR implementations Essentials Skills/Requirements Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical Design from a reputed Institute or In plant/Apprenticeship Training in Design (Mechanical) from a reputed Institute/ Organization Have good understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5. Hands-on experience in 3D modeling and 2D drafting of parts per industry standards using any of the 3D, CAD software SolidWorks, UGNX, Pro-E, CATIA.Solid works preferred. A Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) will be an advantage. Experience in the creation of manufacturing and assembly drawings per ASME/DIN/BIS drafting standards is required. ERP knowledge will be an added advantage. Understanding of Change order implementation. Good communication skills.
