The Controls & Electrical Engineer will focus on specifying, designing, and developing control and power electronics, motors, and other electrical products and components for company products. This includes motor drives, controls and monitoring systems for water pumps and valves and the position is in India (Bangalore). In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are: Programming and testing Have good understanding of Programming for Automation of HVAC and BMS. Hands-on experience in PLC and HMI Programming using any of the standard Commercial PLC and HMI. Carel PLC programming is an added advantage. Good understanding of PLC programming standards / practices and capability of debugging and testing of the programs. Any certified training from reputed institute on PLC and HMI programming will be and added advantage. Experience in Programming on Tridium platform for Automation of HVAC Systems and BMS is an added advantage. Good understanding HVAC system components- Selection, Principle of working etc (VFD, Motors, Flow meters, DPT etc) Sound knowledge of applying engineering principles to control electromechanical equipment such as motor driven pumps, with feedback from control devices such as valves and actuators. Field Devices Communication Over Modbus Serial/TCP/IP, Auto & manual logic implementation based on SOO, SQL database. Production / Site Support Prepare detailed, production-quality specifications and CAD drawings. Apply analysis, design-for-assembly, and cost criteria throughout the designs. Train personnel and assist with field commissioning and customer discussions. Able to trouble shoot testing and field commissioning issues. ERP Management Able to use ERP system for entry of BOM. Communication Be able to provide updates in daily production order review meetings. Support to industrial Pump, Booster and Fire Pump products. Software and Tools Tridium Niagara, Carel/Simens PLC programming, knowledge of FBD, AutoCAD for preparing electrical drawings. Role Requirements B.E in Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics from a reputed Institute. Other training relevant to controls and automation from reputes institutes will be an added advantage with 4 to 5 Years of experience. Assertive personality able to self start in a remote development department, interfacing with colleagues on other continents. Positive attitude as a responsible team player. Above average Written and spoken communication skills. Commitment to high quality, high productivity, and continuous learning. Flexibility to take on assignments outside the office: lab, shop, customer visits and presentations, as needed. High level of proficiency working with PLCs, microprocessors, and data processing. Experience with closed-loop controls: PID, adaptive, fuzzy logic, etc. and sensors.
