Tech Lead (Hardware)

Position: Tech Lead (Hardware)

Job Description: Principal Accountabilities:

• Coordination of design teams and representation in project meetings
• Responsible for requirement collection, architecture/ high-level block diagram design, PCB layout verification, considering EMI/EMC issues, design validation & integration, component selection, prototype construction, debugging, board and system level testing. schematic and layout review in an accurate way
• Guiding the PCB layout design engineer during placement, stack up, routing constraints, providing feedback from SI analysis results and PCB review
• Closely working with cross functional teams during concept, design, and testing.
• Develop requirement definition aligned with the customer
• Responsible for managing time estimation of design activities
• Hardware support for any new development and improving the existing designs and new ones.
• Monitoring and maintaining the safety, quality and safety of products and writing tests and development documentation.
• Preparing BOM(Bill of material) in the most efficent way

Job Complexity:

• Mentoring of junior team members in the team
• Incumbent can work Independently, is a timely decision maker and able to cope with interrupts
• Incumbent is be able to debug ,analyze and work independently.
• Incumbent generally works under broad supervision and has ability to solve complex problems arising during the flow of work
• Incumbent can work on complex concepts and implementation

Technical Skills:

• Experience on all stages of Hardware Product Development Lifecycle.
• Processors: TI, Freescale, NXP, Qualcomm
• Memories: DDR2, DDR3, LPDDR2/3
• NAND gate / Embedded Multimedia Card (eMMC)
• High Speed Board designing, Multi-layer Board design, Signal integrity (HyperLynx), Board Bring up.
• Knowledge of DSP/ Micro Controller and various interfaces like HDMI, MIPI, CSI, Audio, Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI.
• Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) / Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance.
• Various tools like ORCAD, ALLEGRO, PADS.
• Lab instruments like Multi- meters, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Logic analyzer etc.

Year of experience: 6- 9 years

Education: B.E/M.E , B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent

Location: IN-GJ-Ahmedabad, India- Maradia Plz (eInfochips)
