About the role
Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Architect to support a healthcare-focused initiative currently in the design phase. This role is ideal for a subject matter expert who can lead architectural discussions, guide integration strategy, and serve as a key technical advisor across multiple client engagements. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and participate in high-level design and architecture discussions - Provide expertise in Epic system integrations and interoperability - Oversee data mapping and ensure alignment with integration standards - Review and guide user stories (not responsible for writing them) - Act as the primary point of contact for technical questions and issue resolution - Collaborate with offshore delivery teams to ensure successful execution Qualification Required: - 7+ years of experience as an Epic Architect - Deep understanding of Epic systems, integrations, and communication frameworks - Strong knowledge of Epic APIs, data flows, and integration layers - Experience working with healthcare data standards, including: - HL7/FHIR - 278 transactions - X12 formats - CMS requirements Additional Information: The organization has approximately 50 employees, with ~90% based in India. The delivery team operates offshore. The project involves three healthcare clients currently using Epic. (Note: This is not a hands-on development role. The focus is on architecture, strategy, and technical leadership.)
