Job Description – Pega Platform Engineer (COE Team) Position Title Pega Platform Engineer – Center of Excellence (COE) Experience Required-5+ years Mandatory Certification Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) – Required Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Pega Platform Engineer to join our COE team, responsible for building, governing, and securing enterprise-grade Pega applications. The role also requires a strong focus on application security, platform governance, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Core Development & Platform Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Pega applications aligned with enterprise standards Build case types, integrations, UI components, and reusable frameworks Support platform upgrades, releases, and validation activities Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues Enforce COE standards, guardrails, and best practices Implement and manage Pega security best practices, including: Access Groups, Roles, Privileges, and Rule Access Control Configure and maintain authentication & authorization mechanisms: SSO, OAuth2, SAML, and external identity providers Manage and secure authentication profiles, integration credentials, and API access Ensure proper data security controls: Encryption (at rest and in transit) Sensitive data masking Secure data handling practices Perform security reviews and vulnerability assessments for Pega applications Implement and monitor audit trails, logging, and compliance requirements Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies, standards, and regulatory compliance Collaborate with security teams on access reviews, incident response, and audits Support secure API integrations and protect endpoints against unauthorized access Work with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) for security alerts and anomaly detection Required Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 5+ years of experience in Pega development Pega CSSA certification mandatory Strong experience in: Case Management, Flows, Data Pages Integrations (REST/SOAP) Debugging & performance tuning Knowledge of Pega guardrails and best practices Strong understanding of: Pega security model (RBAC, access control policies) Authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, SAML, SSO) Experience in securing: APIs and integrations Authentication profiles and credential storage Knowledge: Encryption standards (TLS, HTTPS) Secure coding practices Experience in: Conducting security reviews / audits Handling production access control and compliance checks Familiarity with log monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) for security insights
