Design Engineer

Designing new engineering products and processes. Crafting models and drawings of products using Solid works. Analyse prototype data and retest if needed. Research new product ideas and methods. Improve existing products and processes. Ensure products are user- and environment-friendly. Finding creative design solutions to problems. Presenting prototypes and designs to customers and project managers. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers. Generation and Control of Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Drawings and nesting. Maintaining accurate records writing detailed reports. Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field. A sound knowledge of Solid work, technical drawings 2D,3D modelling. An excellent grasp of engineering and design ideas. An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods of commercial kitchen equipment. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software not essential howe'ver will be an added advantage. Independently determine approach and assigned tasks. Strong PC skills, including MS office. 3-6 years experience as a Design Engineer in Commercial kitchen equipment s or refrigeration industry.
