As a Senior Fire Engineer at Arup, you will have the opportunity to work with a creative, innovative, multi-cultural, and self-motivated team of fire safety consultants in India, the UKIMEA region, and globally. Your role will involve assisting with the implementation of fire engineering solutions and fire strategies across various projects. You will work collaboratively with our fire engineers and colleagues in multidisciplinary teams at Arup. The projects you will be involved in will be diverse, exciting, and range from conceptual fire strategy to detailed design. Key Responsibilities: - Form part of the project team on different projects, managing junior engineers and collaborating with the wider team - Develop and implement fire strategies, projects, and research initiatives - Manage financial performance on projects and negotiate scope, fee, and contractual terms with clients - Present and discuss design solutions with clients and stakeholders - Lead project teams and provide guidance and knowledge to support the growth and development of team members Qualifications Required: - Minimum Bachelors degree in a relevant subject such as fire engineering, other types of engineering, or architecture - Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g., Institution of Fire Engineers) or close to gaining Chartered Engineer status - 7+ years experience in a consultancy or similar environment with at least 3 years in a senior position - Extensive experience in delivering fire engineered solutions - Awareness of industry challenges, code changes, and experience in their implementation in projects - Knowledge of IBC and NFPA codes and standards would be beneficial - Familiarity with RIBA stages of design or other design frameworks - Experience in managing other engineers and financial performance on projects Join Arup and be part of a collaborative team that values respect, diversity, and individuality.
