About the role
Arzana is building the autonomous operating system for US manufacturers. It’s an ERP with the back-office of custom agents built in that automatically make quotes, enter orders, schedule jobs, purchase materials, process invoices, and arrange logistics. We’re growing 75% month-over-month and looking for engineers that thrive in fast moving, 70-80 hour week, high-ownership roles.
As a founding engineer, you will work directly with the CTO to build agents and configure our ERP platform for customer-specific applications. You’ll also contribute to the onboarding agent that takes in terabytes of a customer’s historical data and task mining videos and autonomously builds their custom agent / ERP.
This is a high-ownership role for someone excited to operate across product, engineering, and customer workflows from day one.
What you’ll do
-
• Extend existing agents to support more customer configurations, edge cases, and backend integrations
-
Build entirely new agent types from scratch
-
Build custom neural net models, fine-tune LLMs and VLMs on factory data to replicate expert human operator actions and orchestrate business and production workflows
-
Translate human-described business workflows into clean chains of extraction, reasoning, and action nodes
-
Wire agents into external APIs and operational systems
-
Own technical decisions across the agents’ platform, from architecture through implementation
-
Work directly with the CEO on product direction, roadmap, and prioritization
-
Help build out the team and manage future engineers as the company grows
What we’re looking for
Experience working in or closely with manufacturing environments: We’re talking gritty, old school manufacturers in rural areas. Translating their non-technical description of a specific workflow into a reliable agent requires learning to speak their language, ask the right questions, and above all, commit massive amounts of information to memory in a short period of time.
Experience taking an agent product or agent workflow from zero to production, including building, shipping, and deploying it, whether as a personal project or in a company setting
• Strong builder instincts and a high degree of ownership and autonomy. We’re a team of hackers with a “if you can think it you can build it” mentality
• Excitement for turning ambiguous business processes into reliable software systems
• Comfort operating across the stack, from frontend usability to backend architecture and integrations
• Strong product sense and the ability to make good decisions with incomplete information, and know when you don’t have enough information and what questions to ask.
• Ability to move quickly, handle edge cases, and improve systems through iteration
Why this role is exciting
This is not a narrow implementation role. You’ll be defining how our platform works at its core: how it ingests information, reasons across fragmented systems, and executes real workflows reliably. You’ll have direct influence over both the technical architecture and the product itself.
