As a Senior Software Engineer at Villa Plus, you will be part of a highly motivated team working towards delivering delightful experiences to customers. You will play a crucial role in steering the team technically in line with our vision. Role Overview: - Villa Plus is UK's leading villa holiday tour operator, offering customers the ability to book private villas across Europe. - The digital platform, www.villaplus.com, operates entirely on Azure Cloud. - As a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong belief in software craftsmanship and possess expertise in the Microsoft .NET technology stack. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the product roadmap in a one-week sprint model. - Help the team deliver at high velocity and practice Agile practices. - Continuously learn and deliver incremental business value, utilizing Continuous Delivery Practices. - Mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively to build high availability solutions. - Develop asynchronous and/or multi-tiered scalable applications. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. - 5+ years of professional experience in software development. - Expertise in web development using ASP.NET MVC and C#. - Strong hands-on experience with SQL and no SQL databases. - Proficiency in test-driven development and DevOps practices. - Familiarity with pair-programming and SOLID principles using C#. - Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and Continuous Delivery processes.
