Subject Matter Advisor Civil Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Advisor with a background in civil engineering to provide technical advice on infrastructure development projects in Chamba Block. The advisor will ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements, assist in planning and executing construction projects, review and approve engineering designs, and offer expert guidance based on regional factors specific to Chamba Block. Key Responsibilities: Technical Advice on Infrastructure Development: Provide expert technical advice on infrastructure development projects including schools, Anganwadi centers, and solar street light installations. Ensure all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Safety Standards and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout project life cycles. Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations. Planning and Execution of Construction Projects: Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring they meet community needs and project goals. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects. Review and Approval of Designs: Review and approve engineering designs and blueprints, ensuring they are practical, efficient, and meet project requirements. Provide feedback and recommendations to improve design outcomes. Guidance Based on Regional Factors: Analyze the soil type, climate, and other regional factors specific to Chamba Block to provide tailored guidance for infrastructure projects. Ensure designs and construction methods are suitable for the local environment. Permission and Compliance Guidance: Provide clear guidance in seeking necessary permissions from respective government authorities. Assist in the preparation and submission of required documentation to obtain permits and approvals. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred. Proven experience in infrastructure development, particularly in rural or challenging environments. Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and construction best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to review and interpret engineering designs and blueprints. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Experience in dealing with government authorities and securing necessary permits is a plus. 6-7 years of experience in the Civil Engineering sector is preferred Location and Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
