Senior IT Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to design, implement, support and continuously improve Asite's global IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, security and performance of enterprise systems across on-premise and cloud environments. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and the wider technology team, you will lead infrastructure initiatives, resolve complex technical challenges and mentor junior engineers. You'll play a key role in maintaining secure, resilient and scalable IT services that support our global business operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIE Design, implement and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environmentsAdminister Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/AWS and virtualisation platformsManage enterprise networking including LAN/WAN, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and wireless infrastructureMonitor infrastructure performance, availability and security, proactively identifying and resolving issuesLead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiativesImplement cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, patching strategies and security compliance controlsMentor junior IT Engineers while providing technical leadership during projects and critical incidentsMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures and vendor relationships to support continuous service improvement Must have 5+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering or Enterprise IT OperationStrong hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Linux environmentExpertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure and/or AWS cloud platformSolid understanding of enterprise networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs and firewallExperience with VMware, Hyper-V or similar virtualisation technologieStrong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skillExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a high standard of English. Nice to have Experience with PowerShell, Bash or Python automation scriptingExperience implementing backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutionsExposure to enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and security operationsExperience supporting global IT infrastructure across multiple locationsExperience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiative Educational qualification Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
