Architect

Role Overview: You will be working as a full-time, on-site Architect in Chennai at ASKANS, a full-service integrated practice specializing in Architecture, Interior Design, 3D Visualization, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and Offshore Development Services. Your main responsibility will be to develop concept, schematic, and detailed architectural designs aligned with project requirements and regulations. You will work closely with clients and internal teams, conduct site visits and surveys, and support planning applications and statutory approvals. Collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and external consultants to integrate architectural, interior, structural, and building services requirements is also a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop concept, schematic, and detailed architectural designs, including drawings, specifications, and presentations. - Coordinate with clients and internal teams, conduct site visits and surveys. - Support planning applications and statutory approvals. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and external consultants to integrate architectural, interior, structural, and building services requirements. - Support project scheduling, monitor design progress, manage documentation, and contribute to value engineering and risk mitigation. Qualifications Required: - Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, detailing, and documentation. - Experience with Project Management in a design or construction environment, including coordination, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. - Understanding of Integration between architectural design and related disciplines (e.g., structural, MEP, interiors) to deliver coherent solutions. - Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling/visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and comfort with standard office software. - Recognized professional diploma or bachelor's degree in Architecture. - Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and engage confidently with clients. - Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
