Data Scientist - Technical Lead

Role - Technical Leader - Data Scientist Experience 8 - 10 years Location Chennai/Kochi/Bangalore (Hybrid) Notice Period - Immediate Joiners Preferred Job description: We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist with 8 - 10 years of experience to drive end-to-end data science initiatives and lead high-impact projects. The role involves building scalable machine learning solutions, mentoring team members, and working closely with business stakeholders to solve complex problems across areas like forecasting, recommendation systems, and fraud detection. Roles & Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models in production Own end-to-end delivery of data science projects from problem definition to solution implementation Work on advanced use cases such as forecasting, classification, recommendation systems, and anomaly/fraud detection Translate complex and ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, product, engineering) to drive business impact Guide and mentor junior data scientists and review their work Establish and follow best practices in MLOps (experiment tracking, workflow orchestration, model monitoring) Ensure model performance, scalability, and continuous improvement in production environments Skills Strong expertise in Python and SQL Deep understanding of machine learning techniques (classical ML, time-series, and deep learning) Hands-on experience with production-level model deployment and MLOps practices Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex business scenarios Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring teams Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Bachelors or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field Prior experience in domains such as retail, e-commerce, fintech, CPG, or consumer tech (preferred) Interested candidates can share their updated resume at megha.chattopadhyay@aspiresys.com About Aspire Systems Aspire Systems is a $180+ million global technology services firm with over 4,900 employees worldwide, partnering with 275+ active customers.
