About the role
Role Overview: Responsible for the design, engineering, and execution support of HVDC substation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements Key Responsibilities: Design and engineering of HVDC Substation systems, including converter stations and associated AC/DC equipment Preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layout drawings, and engineering documents Engineering of HVDC equipment such as converters, transformers, smoothing reactors, filters, and switchgear Development of equipment layouts, grounding systems, and cable routing for HVDC substations Coordination with OEMs, consultants, and cross-functional teams for design integration Review and approval of vendor drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and client specifications Preparation of technical reports, BOQs, and documentation Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of HVDC technology (LCC/VSC systems) Experience in substation design (AIS/GIS) and power transmission systems Familiarity with protection & control systems in HVDC substations Understanding of harmonic filters, reactive power compensation, and insulation coordination Proficiency in engineering tools like AutoCAD, ETAP, PSCAD, or equivalent Good communication and stakeholder management skills Experience: 5 10 Yrs
