About the role
Lab Setup and Maintenance:Prepare and organize computer systems, peripherals, and software required for practical sessions or experiments Ensure the cleanliness, functionality, and proper setup of computers, network connections, and related hardware Technical Assistance:Assist students and instructors in resolving basic technical issues related to computer systems, software installation, or network connectivity Provide guidance on the usage of software tools or programming environments within the lab Equipment Management:Manage inventory and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and accessories Coordinate repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed, reporting issues to appropriate staff Student Support:Assist students during lab sessions, providing guidance and technical support as they work on assignments, projects, or practical exercises Ensure compliance with lab rules, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain records of lab equipment, inventory, and maintenance activities Assist in documentation of lab procedures, troubleshooting guides, or technical instructions Qualifications:Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent Additional technical certifications or coursework in computer science may be advantageous Technical Skills: Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc), software installation, and basic troubleshooting Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve common technical issues encountered by students or within the lab environment Organizational Skills: Capability to organize and manage computer systems, peripherals, and inventory efficiently
