Technical lead (java / Node.js / TypeScript) 6 Months Contract ONGOING Job Requirements We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Technical Lead to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. In this role, you will lead engineering teams, define technical strategy, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Apply Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Architecture : Lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end development of enterprise applications. Define and drive technical strategy, architecture governance, and engineering best practices across teams. Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term business goals. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and design patterns that support scalability, maintainability, and performance. Application Development Delivery : Lead the design and implementation of backend-heavy full-stack solutions using Java, Node.js, and TypeScript. Drive the development of scalable microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, performance requirements, and software quality benchmarks. Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Mendix Enterprise Integration : Lead the design and delivery of Mendix-based solutions aligned with business and enterprise architecture requirements. Drive integrations between Mendix applications, enterprise platforms, third-party services, APIs, and backend systems. Ensure seamless interoperability across multiple applications and technology stacks. Team Leadership Stakeholder Collaboration : Mentor and guide development teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and project managers to define and prioritize technical initiatives. Support project planning, estimation, risk assessment, and technical decision-making. DevOps, Operations Quality Engineering : Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable deployment automation, monitoring, and operational excellence. Support CI/CD implementation, release management, and production readiness activities. Promote observability, reliability, and continuous improvement through monitoring and performance optimization. Required Skills Qualifications: Strong expertise in Java, Node.js, and TypeScript. Hands-on experience designing and building scalable enterprise applications. Deep understanding of System Design, Distributed Systems, Microservices Architecture, and REST API Development. Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, application security, and performance optimization. Experience integrating enterprise applications, APIs, and third-party platforms. Solid understanding of database design, data modeling, and application scalability. Cloud DevOps Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps best practices. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar platforms. Experience Background 15+ years of software engineering experience with significant exposure to technical leadership responsibilities. Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise application development initiatives. Strong background in designing and delivering distributed, cloud-native applications. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading digital transformation or modernization initiatives. Exposure to low-code platforms, particularly Mendix. Experience working with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and enterprise integration patterns. Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a plus. Experience working in global, distributed engineering organizations.
