Role: Plant Engineer - Civil Utilities

Location: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra Reporting to: Head - IE & PE Team name: Manufacturing Operations About the Team and the Role The Manufacturing Operations team at Ather is responsible for managing plant infrastructure, setup, civil utilities, and operational engineering across manufacturing facilities. This role is for a Plant Engineer - Civil Utilities who will lead civil & structural design, MEP integration, capex/opex budgeting, and project execution for greenfield and existing setups. Responsibilities Estimate Capex/Opex budgets and manage financial assessments, cost estimates, and overall planning for greenfield and internal expansion projects.

Perform civil and structural design calculations, plans, layouts, and specifications using engineering formulas, codes, standards, and design software.

Oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) integration with civil and structural elements in manufacturing plants from design through implementation.

Prepare, design, and scrutinize structural and civil drawings to source contractors and manage execution for new requirements.

Plan and execute Green Building concepts for existing and new factory setups.

Ensure statutory compliance by obtaining and renewing all applicable regulatory approvals and permits.

Manage team performance by setting KPIs, delivering technical expertise, and continuously upgrading team skill sets.

Experience and Qualifications B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field

8 to 12 years of experience in Structural / Civil Design & Project Management

Must Have Competencies Execution of civil and structural design calculations, layouting, and analysis using governing engineering codes and software.

Integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems within civil and structural frameworks for industrial facilities.

Management of end-to-end greenfield plant projects, including project planning, monitoring, and structural establishment.

Navigation of statutory compliance requirements and regulatory approvals applicable to civil and utility projects.

Good to Have Competencies Capex and Opex budget estimation, financial evaluation, and cost optimization for manufacturing infrastructure.

Implementation of Green Building standards and sustainable design concepts in factory setups.

Scrutiny and verification of complex structural drawings to facilitate vendor sourcing and field execution.
