Role: Plant Engineer - Electrical Utilities

Location: Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra Reporting to: Utility Manager - Electrical Team Name: Manufacturing Operations About the Team and the Role The Manufacturing Operations team at Ather is responsible for building, scaling, and managing robust, energy-efficient industrial infrastructure to power high-quality electric vehicle manufacturing operations. This role is for a Plant Engineer - Electrical Utilities who will plan, design, and execute electrical systems (HT/LT, panels, transformers, cabling, lighting, etc.) for the greenfield plant, ensuring seamless operational readiness, safety, and compliance with project timelines. Responsibilities Plan, design, and execute electrical systems (HT/LT, panels, transformers, cabling, and lighting) for the greenfield plant.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for electrical works to ensure strict adherence to project timelines.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and quality benchmarks across all execution stages.

Supervise site execution, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical utility infrastructure.

Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), define technical specifications, and review design drawings.

Drive energy-efficient and scalable electrical infrastructure to support long-term manufacturing operations.

Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and automation teams for integrated project delivery.

Experience and Qualifications B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

6–9 years of experience in electrical utilities execution for greenfield or brownfield industrial infrastructure projects

Must Have Competencies Design, execution, and commissioning of high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) electrical distribution systems, transformers, and switchgears.

Industrial site execution supervision, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical utility networks.

Vendor management, cost estimation, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation for greenfield projects.

Implementation of electrical safety standards, statutory compliance norms, and earthing and lighting systems.

Good to Have Competencies Integration of sustainable energy management practices and energy-efficient electrical utility solutions.

Technical understanding of electrical utility infrastructure within EV, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments.

Cross-functional technical collaboration with civil, mechanical, and automation engineering teams.

Project scheduling, cost estimation, and timeline tracking for industrial plant setup.
