About the role
Primary Engineering: Lead the primary engineering of large and complex EHV/HV Air & Gas Insulated Substation (AIS & GIS) projects internationally. Project Lifecycle Management: Manage primary engineering activities from project/tender start to As-Built stage, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, Linxon standards, QA/QC, HSSE, and integrity. Collaboration: Coordinate with Linxon engineering teams (local & remote/global), internal & external partners, sub-suppliers, secondary engineers, and civil engineers. Civil Design Coordination: Provide information for civil designs and coordinate interfaces between construction planning, steel structure engineering, protection and control systems, auxiliary power systems, and equipment suppliers. Equipment Engineering: Responsible for engineering assigned equipment packages such as Switchgear, Transformers, Reactors, CT/VT/SA, HV/MV/LV cables, etc. Technical Solutions: Provide technical solutions for substations, including Single Line Diagrams, technical specifications, layouts, and associated detailed drawings and documents. Concept Development: Develop technical concepts for layouts, technical specifications, selection of equipment, and connection material, considering cost, quality, international standards, and material. Technical Calculations: Provide technical calculations, technical purchasing specifications, and schedules for all equipment for projects or tenders. Compliance and Quality: Ensure all designs and solutions comply with established standards, processes, operational and maintenance requirements, OHSE considerations, and customer specifications. Experience, Education, and Other Requirements: Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 10+ years of substation engineering experience in the Utilities or EPC industry. Substation Design Expertise: Expert knowledge in substation design and engineering, including layouts, primary design & calculations, grounding & lightning design, steel design inputs, transformers, and HV/MV switchgear systems. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with external and internal parties in a multi-cultural environment.
