Your role Role Overview Atlas Copco India is looking for a skilled Design/Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in Test Cell Design, Test rig design, Element Testing, and Product Performance Testing Infrastructure, leak testing. The role involves end-to-end design of testing environments including piping systems,acoustic enclosures, facility integration,and construction-ready drawing release for permit approvals. Key Responsibilities Design and develop test cells for element testing and product performance testing (Mechanical). Create facility layout and construction drawings for architect submission and permit process Design piping systems including water,air,cooling,and pressure circuits Select and specify components like control valves,flow meters sensors – Temperature/pressure gauges,regulators,pumps,orifice,leak test equipment etc. Support electrical integration (soft starter,electrical cabinet location,routing interfaces) Define ventilation sizing,heat management,and airflow requirements Design sound-proof acoustic enclosures with gate access and safety considerations. Vessel / accumulator understanding,design&validation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams – Facility,Electrical,Safety,and Project teams. To succeed, you will need Required Skills Strong experience in Test Cell/Test Bench/Test Infrastructure Design Good knowledge of Industrial Piping Design & Component Selection Experience in Acoustic/Sound Proof Enclosure Design Understanding of Ventilation and Thermal Management Experience in Construction/Facility Interface Drawings Hands-on experience in CAD tools (Inventor/Catia) Experience in Autodesk Inventor will be an added advantage Temperature,pressure,flow calculations and its effect on selection of pipe design and related purchase items like flow meter,pressure gauges,sensor etc. Selection of vibration measuring equipment Preferred Experience Industrial Testing Systems|Automation|SPM Industrial Product Testing Environment or Automotive Exposure to global engineering standards and safety norms Preferrable from chemical,petroleum,pharmaceutical,sugar or compressor/vacuum industry Professional Competencies Team Player mindset Strong Growth Mindset First-Time-Right Engineering Mindset Strong ownership and execution focus Good communication and cross-functional collaboration Education Piping Design Engineering|Instrumentation Industry Experience| Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering In return, we offer Culture of trust and accountability Lifelong learning and career growth Innovation powered by people Comprehensive compensation and benefits Health and well-being Job location This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India (IN).
