Job Summary: Key Responsibilities: Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database environments (Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, or higher), including both on-premise and cloud-based databases. Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Pump, and other Oracle tools. Develop and test disaster recovery plans. Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune databases for optimal efficiency, ensuring high availability and scalability. Security & Compliance: Implement Oracle database security measures including user management, role-based access control (RBAC), and data encryption to comply with organizational and regulatory standards. Database Upgrades & Patch Management: Plan and perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed, ensuring mnimal downtime and optimal performance. Monitoring & Alerts: Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar tools to monitor and manage database settings, set up alerts, and resolve issues proactively. Capacity Planning: Analyze database storage needs and perform capacity planning to ensure the database workplace meets future business needs. SQL Optimization: Work closely with developers to review SQL queries, optimize database objects, and improve query performance.
