About the role
As a Machine Learning Engineer at our company, your primary role will be to build intelligent tools and automation systems for VFX production. You will collaborate with VFX artists, pipeline TDs, and production teams to integrate ML solutions into real-world production pipelines. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deploy ML models for VFX use cases, including: - Object detection and segmentation - Optical flow, motion tracking, and depth estimation - Image/video enhancement such as denoising, upscaling, and interpolation - Build AI-powered tools for tasks like: - Auto tagging of assets and shots - Script/metadata extraction using OCR and NLP - Smart dailies and QC analysis - Integrate ML models into pipeline tools like Nuke, Unreal, and internal systems - Optimize models for real-time or near real-time performance - Design scalable inference pipelines for batch and interactive processing - Collaborate with pipeline TDs to incorporate ML into production workflows - Work with large datasets including EXR sequences, videos, and metadata - Maintain model performance and reliability in production environments Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong programming skills in Python - Experience with ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow - Strong understanding of Computer Vision (CV) and Deep Learning architectures like CNNs and Transformers - Experience with tools like OpenCV, NumPy, and Pandas - Familiarity with image/video processing pipelines - Knowledge of EXR workflows, color pipelines (experience with ACES is a plus) - Comfortable working in Linux-based environments Join us in this exciting role where you will apply your expertise in machine learning to enhance VFX production processes.
