About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our international team. In this role, you will manage and optimise PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB databases across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

You will be working in a multinational environment, supporting enterprise-scale systems and contributing to cloud migration and automation initiatives.

Your responsibilities

Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB environments (on-prem & cloud)

Diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues

Maintain and upgrade database environments and clusters

Manage high availability and replication solutions

Perform database migrations (on-prem → cloud)

Automate DBA activities using Python, Ansible, or Terraform

Manage backup and restore processes (e.g. Barman, Networker)

Support database provisioning and deployments

Collaborate with internal teams and customers

Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD / LLD)

What we expect

• 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem)

• 3+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)

• Experience with:

• PostgreSQL / MySQL clusters and tools (pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy)

• Database backup and recovery

• Database installation, upgrades (minor & major)

• Data migration tools (pgdump, pg_restore, mysqldump, etc.)

• Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning

• Hands-on experience with replication and HA solutions

• Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

• Nice to have

• Knowledge of PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) and continuous archiving

• Cloud certifications (Azure AZ-900, AWS CCP, GCP Digital Leader)

• Python certification (PCEP)

• EDB PostgreSQL certification
