Lead AI Engineer / Lead Data Scientist

Overview Salary Range : 20-35 LPA Type : Full-Time Location : Pune (On-site) About the Role We are looking for an experienced AI leader to build and scale production-grade Machine Learning systems across the lending lifecycle. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on delivering AI solutions for Credit Risk, Fraud Risk Management, and Collections while leading high-performing engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Lead AI Product Pods across Credit Risk, Fraud, and Collections. Build and deploy production-scale Machine Learning systems. Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from feature engineering to deployment and monitoring. Design scalable ML infrastructure, MLOps pipelines, feature stores, and model registries. Develop AI solutions for underwriting, fraud detection, portfolio monitoring, early warning systems, and recovery optimisation. Drive model governance, explainability, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Business teams to deliver AI-driven solutions. Mentor and lead AI Engineering and Data Science teams. Requirements 10+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science. Current designation must be Lead or above. Strong experience building production-grade ML systems. Hands-on experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk Management (FRM), and Collections & Recovery. Expertise in Python, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD, Feature Stores, and Model Registries. Experience with distributed ML systems and MLOps. Strong understanding of BFSI governance, model risk management, and compliance. B.Tech/M.Tech from Tier-1 institutes (IIT, NIT, BITS). Age below 37 years. Preferred Experience in Product, FinTech, Banking, NBFC, or GCC environments. Exposure to Graph ML, Vector Databases, LLM-enabled decisioning, and enterprise AI platforms. NRIs planning to relocate to India are encouraged to apply.
