About the role
Senior GitLab Administrator / DevSecOps Engineer Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior GitLab Administrator / DevSecOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab administration, CI/CD automation, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, securing, and maintaining enterprise GitLab environments while enabling secure and efficient software delivery. Azure Cloud experience is preferred. Primary Skill GitLab Administration Secondary Skill Azure Cloud Key Responsibilities GitLab Administration Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain GitLab Community and Enterprise/Ultimate environments. Manage GitLab Runners, repositories, user access, permissions, groups, and project structures. Configure and maintain repository mirroring and synchronization across GitLab instances. Perform performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for GitLab infrastructure. Support repository migrations from legacy source control platforms as required. Manage GitLab upgrades, patching, and platform health to ensure platform stability and reliability . CI/CD & DevSecOps Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Develop reusable pipeline templates and deployment automation frameworks. Integrate security, quality, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows. Support Docker-based build and deployment environments. Collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Security teams to implement DevSecOps best practices and improve software delivery. Cloud & Infrastructure Work with Azure services for hosting and managing GitLab and DevOps infrastructure. Support containerized environments using Docker and related technologies. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) is an added advantage. Required Skills Strong expertise in GitLab administration and GitLab CI/CD. Experience managing GitLab Runners and Docker executors. Experience integrating and administering SAST, DAST, Dependency Scanning, Container Scanning, and Code Quality within GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, repository management, and release processes. Strong scripting skills using Shell and/or Python for automation. Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure software delivery practices. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience with GitLab Geo Replication. Experience implementing Backup, Recovery, Disaster Recovery (DR), and High Availability (HA) strategies for GitLab. Experience with Azure cloud services. LDAP and SMTP integration with GitLab. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. GitLab certifications will be a strong advantage. What We Are Looking For A highly skilled GitLab Administrator with strong DevSecOps expertise.
