About the role
Role Overview: You will be joining the India Research team in Gurugram as a Senior Analyst, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research on India's electricity grid and power system. Your role will involve developing deep expertise in grid and network modelling, working on high-impact projects, and collaborating with industry-leading tools and mentors. Key Responsibilities: - Develop timely and rigorous quantitative analyses to enhance clients' decision-making. - Work closely with the modelling team to structure economic problems into quantifiable analyses and derive insights. - Contribute to product development by identifying new opportunities and expanding capabilities. - Engage with clients to understand their requirements thoroughly. - Conduct research and analysis on India's electricity grid, transmission and distribution networks, and their impact on renewable and storage investment cases. - Develop and apply power system models to assess grid constraints, congestion, and investment needs. - Present findings to clients through reports, presentations, and interactive discussions. Qualification Required: - Relevant degree in Economics, Engineering, Power Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field from a top university. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical ability. - 2 to 4 years of experience working at a major consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm. - Previous experience working on energy-related projects or policy, especially in an Indian context. - Ability to interpret complex technical data and communicate insights clearly. - Strong project management skills and ability to work in team-oriented environments. - Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to contribute to a growing business. - Desirable attributes include a relevant Master's degree or PhD, experience in quantitative roles, knowledge of energy markets, programming skills, and interest in energy markets and grid infrastructure.
