As an experienced software development professional, your primary role will involve effectively managing and expanding the software development team at our new Indian office. You will collaborate closely with the Oxford-based team to lead upcoming development projects to successful completion, ensuring timely delivery that aligns with user requirements. Your responsibilities will include working closely with end users, both internal and external, to drive innovation and deliver highly effective solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate your ability to lead and nurture the established team by fostering collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement. - Showcase proven success in leading or collaborating within distributed or remote teams, emphasizing proactive communication and inclusion. - Utilize substantial commercial experience in developing complex software solutions using technologies such as Node/TypeScript, ExpressJS, React, SQL, NoSQL, Cloud Infrastructure, or similar. - Exhibit a track record of delivering exceptional software and resolving challenging technical issues. - Manage a software team with a diverse portfolio of projects and lead them from inception to completion. - Apply exceptional problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal abilities while being a valuable team player. - Support and develop team members through effective mentoring and coaching, ensuring their growth. - Familiarity with unit testing and experience in working with CI/CD pipelines. Qualifications Required: - Experience in software team management and project leadership. - Strong technical expertise in software development using various technologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Proven ability to lead and nurture a team. - Experience in mentoring and coaching team members. - Familiarity with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
