Job Description Senior Technical Lead SaaS & AI Product Development Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Technical Lead who can take complete ownership of development initiatives across our SaaS-based products. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in building scalable SaaS platforms , leading engineering teams, designing modern software architecture, and delivering production-grade applications. In addition, the candidate must have practical exposure to the modern AI development ecosystem, including building AI-powered products as well as using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, MCP-based workflows, and similar technologies. This role is suited for someone who is not only technically strong but also capable of bringing structure, speed, accountability, and innovation into the development function. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Leadership & Ownership Take complete ownership of software development initiatives from planning to production release. Lead architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of SaaS products. Convert business and product requirements into clear technical plans, development tasks, and delivery milestones. Make key technical decisions related to architecture, scalability, security, performance, and technology stack. Act as the primary technical owner for development initiatives and ensure timely execution. 2. SaaS Product Development Design, build, and scale modern SaaS-based products. Architect multi-tenant, secure, high-performance, and maintainable SaaS platforms. Build scalable backend systems, APIs, integrations, dashboards, workflows, analytics, and user management modules. Ensure SaaS products are designed for reliability, availability, performance, and future expansion. Work on subscription, billing, role-based access, reporting, automation, and enterprise integration features where required. 3. AI Product Development Lead the development of AI-powered product features and intelligent software solutions. Work with Large Language Models, AI APIs, RAG systems, AI agents, vector databases, workflow automation, and model integrations. Design practical AI features that solve real business and user problems. Evaluate and integrate AI services from platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and open-source AI ecosystems. Ensure AI-based features are scalable, secure, reliable, cost-conscious, and production-ready. 4. AI-Assisted Development Practices Introduce and establish modern AI-assisted software development practices within the engineering team. Use and guide the team in tools such as: Codex Claude Code Cursor GitHub Copilot Windsurf MCP-based development workflows AI coding agents and automation tools Improve development speed, code quality, testing, debugging, documentation, and refactoring through AI-enabled workflows. Define best practices for human-AI collaborative software engineering. 5. Architecture, Code Quality & Engineering Standards Define and maintain coding standards, architecture guidelines, security practices, and development workflows. Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and technical audits. Ensure clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code. Identify technical debt and lead efforts to reduce it. Establish strong engineering practices around version control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, monitoring, and deployment. 6. Team Leadership & Mentoring Lead, mentor, and guide developers, engineers, and technical team members. Assign tasks, track progress, resolve blockers, and ensure accountability. Support team members in improving their technical skills, problem-solving ability, and product thinking. Promote a culture of ownership, learning, discipline, innovation, and delivery excellence. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, UI/UX, product, business, and management teams. 7. Delivery Management & Stakeholder Communication Work closely with founders, product owners, business stakeholders, and clients to understand priorities. Provide clear technical direction, delivery plans, progress updates, and risk assessments. Ensure development timelines are realistic and delivery commitments are met. Balance speed of execution with quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Take responsibility for successful product releases and production stability. Required Skills & Experience Professional Experience 8+ years of professional software development experience. 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, Engineering Lead, Solution Architect, or similar role. Proven experience building and scaling SaaS-based products. Experience leading development teams and managing end-to-end product delivery. Hands-on experience building production-grade AI-enabled products or AI-integrated applications. SaaS & Software Engineering Skills Strong practical understanding of: SaaS architecture Multi-tenant application design Cloud-native development API-first architecture Microservices or modular architecture Event-driven systems Role-based access control User management and authentication Subscription and billing workflows Dashboards, analytics, and reporting systems Enterprise integrations and third-party APIs AI & Modern Development Skills Hands-on exposure to: Large Language Models OpenAI APIs Anthropic Claude APIs Gemini APIs RAG-based applications AI agents Vector databases Prompt engineering LLM orchestration AI workflow automation MCP ecosystem AI-assisted software development The candidate should understand how to build products with AI and how to build products using AI as part of the software development process . Experience with security, compliance, performance optimization, and scalable cloud architecture. Experience integrating payment gateways, CRM systems, ERP systems, analytics platforms, or enterprise APIs. Strong understanding of Agile development, sprint planning, release management, and SDLC practices.
