Role Overview: As a Technical Manager at AutoZone, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for leading software engineering teams in designing, building, modernizing, and operating ALLDATAs global data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of cloud-native, secure, and scalable solutions that support ALLDATAs growth and global expansion. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage cross-functional software engineering teams responsible for front-end, back-end, and cloud-native services supporting ALLDATAs SaaS platform. - Drive modernization initiatives by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures on GCP, following enterprise architecture standards. - Collaborate with Software Architects to implement technical designs across various technologies such as Angular, React, Java, Python, and data platform ecosystems. - Ensure the application of engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing, and deployment strategies. - Own delivery commitments for team initiatives, ensuring predictable execution, high quality, and on-time delivery using Agile and DevOps methodologies. - Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to embed security, privacy, and regulatory requirements into software development and operational processes. - Guide teams in building scalable, resilient solutions with multi-region deployment, disaster recovery, and global data residency considerations. - Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions to ensure technical quality and adherence to standards. - Work closely with product management and business leaders to translate requirements into actionable technical plans and incremental delivery milestones. - Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and operational health across production environments. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience. - 15+ years of professional software development experience, including leadership of enterprise-scale SaaS applications. - 5+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams. - Strong hands-on experience with front-end technologies (Angular, React, TypeScript/JavaScript) and responsive single-page applications. - Solid back-end development experience using Java (Spring Boot), Python (Flask/Django), or Node.js. - Experience designing and working with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB). - Practical experience with cloud-native development on Google Cloud Platform, including services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and data platforms. - Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD), containerization, and Kubernetes-based deployments. - Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations for SaaS platforms.
