Quality Engineer- Civil

Key Responsibilities • Perform field and laboratory testing of road construction materials, including: Soil Aggregate Bitumen Asphalt Mix Cement Concrete • Conduct in-situ tests such as: Field Density Test (FDT) Plate Load Test (where applicable) California Bearing Ratio (CBR) Sand Replacement Test Core Cutting • Carry out laboratory tests including: Sieve Analysis Atterberg Limits Proctor Compaction Test Specific Gravity Aggregate Crushing Value (ACV) Aggregate Impact Value (AIV) Los Angeles Abrasion Test Flakiness & Elongation Index Bitumen Penetration, Softening Point, Ductility, and Viscosity Tests Marshall Stability Test Concrete Compressive Strength Test • Collect material samples according to project specifications and relevant standards. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable standards (IS, or equivalent). • Prepare and maintain test reports, calibration records, inspection records, and quality documentation. • Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors regarding test results and corrective actions. • Identify non-conforming materials and recommend corrective measures. • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality management systems.
