As a BI Architect at Avaya, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the Avaya Data Warehouse. Your work will not only meet existing standards but also challenge proven methodologies with innovative ideas to enhance the data warehouse, development team, and user community. You will be a part of a team that continuously strives to improve business intelligence capabilities and maintain current, efficient, and productive systems and solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise a team of developers, manage the backlog, and assign workload. - Collaborate with business users to review requirements, propose solutions, design, document, and implement them. - Be accountable for consulting, designing, data modeling, coding, testing, and documenting the company's data warehouse. - Translate user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan. - Develop hands-on solutions and support the analysis and discovery processes. - Provide advanced technical skills and leadership in designing, developing, controlling, and utilizing business data. - Model and develop multidimensional data warehouse solutions. - Support and train business users on utilizing the solutions. - Participate in code reviews, brown bag sessions, and advocate best practices during development. Qualifications Required: - Experience in designing and developing complex data warehousing solutions. - Thorough understanding of the Kimball data warehouse methodology. - Strong grasp of data warehousing concepts & technologies such as dimensional modeling, data marts, star schemas, facts, and dimensions. - Proficient in developing complex data transformations using SSIS Data Flow components. - Skilled in developing SSIS script components and tasks using C# or VB. - Ability to design, configure, and administer multidimensional cubes in SSAS (calculations, actions, security). - Experience in developing parameterized/hierarchical reports in SSRS using SQL and SSAS as data sources. - Knowledgeable in using MDX and T-SQL to query data. - Advanced knowledge of identifying and documenting business requirements in a business intelligence environment. - Proven experience with requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Microsoft BI Solutions (End-to-End) across multiple technologies, project sizes, and scales. - Proficiency with source control systems like TFS. - Experience in using Excel for data analysis. Preferred Skills: - Experience with SAP and associated data. This position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential, while a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
