BI Architect

Role Overview: As part of the Avaya team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of developers, managing the backlog, and assigning workloads. You will interact with business users to review requirements, propose, design, document, and implement solutions. Your role will involve being accountable for consulting, designing, data modeling, coding, testing, and documenting the company's data warehouse. You will translate user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plans, as well as support the analysis and discovery processes. Your responsibilities will also include modeling and developing multidimensional data warehouse solutions, supporting and training business users, participating in code reviews, and advocating best practices during development. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise a team of developers, manage the backlog, and assign workloads. - Interact with business users to review requirements, propose, design, document, and implement solutions. - Accountable for consulting, designing, data modeling, coding, testing, and documenting the company's data warehouse. - Translate user requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plans. - Perform hands-on development of solutions, support the analysis and discovery processes. - Model and develop multidimensional data warehouse solutions. - Support and train business users, participate in code reviews, and advocate best practices during development. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in designing and developing complex data warehousing solutions. - Thorough understanding of the Kimball data warehouse methodology. - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts & technologies such as dimensional modeling, data marts, star schemas, facts, and dimensions. - Skilled in developing complex data transformation using SSIS Data Flow components. - Ability to develop SSIS script components and tasks using C# or VB. - Design, configure, and administer multidimensional cubes in SSAS. - Develop parameterized/hierarchical reports in SSRS using SQL and SSAS as a data source. - Knowledgeable in using MDX and T-SQL to query data. - Advanced knowledge of identifying and documenting business requirements in a business intelligence environment. - Experience with requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Microsoft BI Solutions. - Proficient with source control systems such as TFS. - Experience with using Excel to analyze data. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field (Master's degree preferred but not essential).
