About the role
In this role with AVEVA Process Simulation team, you will use your chemical engineering expertise to build reusable models of various process equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for software validation and providing technical customer support. Key Responsibilities: - Model Development & Testing: - Define governing equations for chemical engineering operations. - Develop corresponding models in APS. - Execute comprehensive tests to verify accuracy and reliability. - Product Testing & Automation: - Develop and execute test plans and test cases for PROII simulation software. - Ensure product quality and reliability. - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. - Requirements Analysis & Refinement: - Collaborate with product managers and architects to refine product requirements. - Customer Support: - Investigate and troubleshoot customer-reported issues with APS. - Provide timely technical support, including workarounds and solutions. Essential Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, advanced degree preferred. - 5+ years experience as Process Engineer or Technical Support Engineer in Refineries, Chemical Plants, or EPC Consultancy. - Familiarity with AVEVA Process Simulation is desirable. - Experience or strong interest in software development. - Excellent written, verbal, and graphical communication skills. - Ability to communicate clearly to technical and business audiences. - Attention to detail, diligence, and tenacity. - High degree of personal motivation and self-management skills. - Relevant industry knowledge. Desired Skills And Competencies: - Experience in Agile software development. - Coding abilities (C#, Scripting, etc.).
