System Administrator

Primary job title Systems Administrator Role & Responsibilities Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers (patching, hardening, performance tuning) to ensure secure, stable operations and SLA compliance. Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and user lifecycle tasks; troubleshoot authentication and access issues. Operate and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware/HyperV), storage systems and backup/DR solutions; perform restores and DR tests. Support on-prem and hybrid network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewall rules) and coordinate changes with network teams. Implement monitoring, alerting and incident response (server health, logs, capacity planning) and resolve outages with clear RCA documentation. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Bash, maintain runbooks, and collaborate with security and engineering teams on hardening and compliance. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have 3+ years hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role managing Windows & Linux servers, virtualization and backups. Strong Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server administration fundamentals; solid troubleshooting skills. Experience with VMware or HyperV, backup/DR technologies (Veeam, NetBackup) and basic network administration (TCP/IP, VLANs). Preferred PowerShell and Bash scripting to automate tasks, plus experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus) and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow). Familiarity with firewall administration (Fortinet/Palo Alto), storage systems, and basic AWS/Azure hybrid networking concepts.
