About the role
You will be joining Aviatrix, a pioneer in Cloud Native Security Fabric, which governs every workload communication path across every cloud, VPC, Kubernetes cluster, and serverless function. Trusted by over 500 leading enterprises, Aviatrix is shaping the architecture the Containment Era requires. As a Staff Engineer, Cloud Networking & Network Security at Aviatrix, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and evolving cloud-native networking and security capabilities across multi-cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing networking components for cloud networking and security products, encompassing both control plane and data plane. - Contributing to architectural designs for routing, NAT, traffic steering, and firewall enforcement within defined product areas. - Owning medium-to-large technical problem areas and driving them from design through production. Additionally, you will be working with cloud networking topologies, including VPC/VNet segmentation, routing architectures, hub-and-spoke models, and hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity patterns. You will also be involved in: - Designing and implementing routing-centric features like dynamic routing using BGP, policy-based routing, and traffic steering. - Implementing and scaling NAT functionality, including SNAT, DNAT, and bidirectional NAT. - Contributing to the design and implementation of firewall data planes, focusing on policy evaluation, stateful inspection models, and performance-sensitive packet processing paths. In terms of qualifications, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Networking, or a related field, along with 6+ years of experience in building networking-intensive systems or cloud networking features. You should possess a strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals, routing concepts, NAT behavior, and experience with firewall and network security technologies. Proficiency in Python and/or Go (Golang) is required, along with familiarity with Kubernetes networking concepts and public cloud networking stacks. If you are excited to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions make a real difference, Aviatrix welcomes individuals with varied experiences and backgrounds. Aviatrix values diversity and inclusivity and is committed to providing equal opportunities for all candidates. Join Aviatrix in reshaping cloud network security and be part of a community that values growth and collaboration. Let's explore how we can grow together and make an impact in the world of cloud networking and security.
