About the role
Skills you should bring to the table: 18+ years of experience in data platform engineering, including 5+ years in a people-management role. Advanced expertise in AWS services (RDS, Redshift, DMS, Lambda), OCI cloud data services and infrastructure-as-code. Proficiency with IBM CDC replication technologies, Confluent Kafka and IBM Voltage encryption solutions. Strong background in data modelling, ETL design, database tuning and big data solutions (NoSQL, streaming). Strong expertise in NoSQL database (preferably Couchbase) cluster management, including version upgrades, security patching, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability through node scaling and rebalancing. Hands-on experience with Python/Shell scripting, Terraform, CloudFormation and Jenkins-based CI/CD. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, networking protocols and production system ownership. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across IST and US East time zones.
