About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer - Structural Design, your role will involve designing and developing structural components for defence equipment such as payload mounting systems and pedestals. You will be responsible for performing structural calculations and analysis to ensure strength, stability, and durability. Additionally, you will conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for load, vibration, and stress analysis. It will be your responsibility to prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models as per project requirements, develop manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards, and coordinate with production and fabrication teams for design feasibility. You will also review and validate design specifications and technical documents, ensuring compliance with defence quality and safety standards. Supporting prototype development, testing, and design modifications will also be a part of your job role. Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree preferred) - Above 3 years of relevant experience in structural design (Defence/Aerospace preferred) Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop structural components for defence equipment such as payload mounting systems and pedestals - Perform structural calculations and analysis to ensure strength, stability, and durability - Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for load, vibration, and stress analysis - Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models as per project requirements - Develop manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards - Coordinate with production and fabrication teams for design feasibility - Review and validate design specifications and technical documents - Ensure compliance with defence quality and safety standards - Support prototype development, testing, and design modifications Preferred Attributes: - Experience in defence or aerospace equipment design - Familiarity with MIL standards or defence compliance requirements - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Good communication and teamwork abilities As a Mechanical Engineer - Structural Design, your role will involve designing and developing structural components for defence equipment such as payload mounting systems and pedestals.
