Software Testing Intern Location: Chennai / Thanjavur / Hybrid Type: Internship Reports to: Test Lead Position Overview: We are seeking detail-oriented Software Testing Interns to join our team at Avivo. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced quality assurance team to test and validate our software solutions. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in software testing, allowing you to develop your skills in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing: Assist in the execution of manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes. Automated Testing: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team to create detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications. Bug Reporting: Report and track defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring clear and detailed documentation for developers. Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure thorough testing and validation of software features. Learning and Growth: Engage in continuous learning and skill development, keeping up with industry trends and emerging testing technologies. Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Interest in automated testing and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java). Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Eagerness to learn and apply testing best practices and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Previous internship or project experience in software testing. Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA). Understanding of performance and security testing.
