Customize and integrate third-party plugins such as WooCommerce and other eCommerce extensions. Build and manage Shopify apps and custom features. Work on backend logic, database structures, and API integrations for high-performance systems. Implement payment gateways, shipping modules, and eCommerce functionality. Optimize website performance, scalability, and database efficiency. Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and QA teams to deliver seamless experiences. Use Git/Bitbucket for version control and code management. Skills & Abilities Must-Have Skills Strong experience with PHP and backend WordPress development (themes & plugins). Hands-on experience with WooCommerce and Shopify development/customization. Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, and query optimization. Understanding of RESTful APIs and data formats (JSON, XML). Experience using Git/Bitbucket for version control. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and optimized code. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Good-to-Have Skills Experience with Headless WordPress, Next.js, or React integrations. Familiarity with Shopify Hydrogen, GraphQL, or modern eCommerce APIs. Knowledge of server management, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker environments.
