Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Global Technology team. The ideal candidate will have be well-versed with industry-leading tools such as Selenium/Playwright with robust programming skills in Java or other programming language and a keen interest or experience in implementing Gen AI solutions to enhance testing processes. You will play a key role in automating testing processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and collaborating effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams What you'll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include: Develop and implement automated test strategies and frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and translate them into effective test cases. Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and programming languages. Identify, explore and implement AI-driven testing tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency, accuracy and coverage. Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects in a clear and concise manner. Continuously improve the testing process by identifying areas for automation and enhancement. Mentor and guide junior test engineers in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. Collaborate and Contribue towards Testing Centre of Excellence initiatives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to test automation. Setup and manage the test infrastructure using devops tools such as Dockers, Kuberenetes etc. Create the test pipelines in CI/CD tools such as Harness , Teamcity. Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, ensuring alignment of testing deliverables with project requirement. Monitor vendor performance, deliverables, and timelines to ensure quality standards are met. What you will BRING Were looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, with a focus on test automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java , Python , Javascript. Experience with CI/CD tools (AzD, Bamboo, Harness, Jenkins, etc.). Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium , Playwright, UFT ,RestAssured etc. Experience in the frameworks and build tools such as TestNG , Junit, Cucumber. Maven , Gradle. Familiarity with JIRA & JIRA X-Ray, Azure, GHE, JFrog/Nexus Artifactory. Hands-on experience leverageing Gen AI based tools for different testing functions and use cases. Experience in working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Databricks and developing complex SQLqueries. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new test automation technologies and tools of devops based tools such as Docker , Kuberenetes . openshift. Experience with cloud services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for testing and deployment. Desired Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter , Gatling etc will be an advantage. Excellent understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team. Understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter Suite, with hands-on experience in testing and validating policy management workflows. Experience with automation tools and frameworks used for testing Guidewire applications is a plus. Adaptable to new test automation strategies, tools, and technologies; comfortable with change. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate test automation goals and influence decisions. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to achieve test automation goals. Ability to effectively integrate disparate test automation processes and technologies. Proven planning and organizational skills, including workload prioritization and realistic timescales.
