DBA - Data Base Administrator (Pune)

Must have the following skills: - 3 + years of experience in Databae administration with hands-on in PostgreSQL and at least one more additional DB - Positive experience on PostgreSQL architectures (Memory components, Different processes, and fair understanding of the working of PostgreSQL). - Working experience on PostgreSQL Installation, setting up PGBouncer, PGPool, suparvisor. - Experience in building enterprise scale database infrastructure supporting a high volume of transactions in a mission-critical environment. - Hands-on experience in indexing, DB objects such as SPs, triggers, views in addition to experience in backup, restore and point-in-time recovery, switchover/failover tasks depends on the scenarios - Experience in scheduled maintenance activities such as VACUUM ANALYZE, indexing, performance optimization for improving query response time. - Deploying and managing PostgreSQL on AWS Cloud infrastructure including both EC2 & RDS instances and setting up cluster of database. - Maintaining different clients on AWS and monitoring them using CloudWatch. - Working experience on upgrades (Minor and major versions). - Troubleshooting Day-to-day operations and issues like (CPU and Load average, locking blocking, long-running sql, and Disk-space issues ). - Proficient with Structured Query Language. - Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting replication using different replication tools. Good to have following skills: - Working experience additionally in any other database such as Supabase, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc. will be plus. - Exposure to shell scripting, linux environment, cloud Ideal candidate will: - work with several project/product teams - take complete ownership of managing the DB instances for each of the project. - help development team(s) on day-to-day basis in development/QA/production setup & maintenance. - communicate across teams to provide standard/best practices for DB queries, tabel structures, normalizations - may need to work directly with client stake holders as and when needed Requirements Must have the following skills: - 3 + years of experience in Databae administration with hands-on in PostgreSQL and at least one more additional DB - Good experience on PostgreSQL architectures (Memory components, Different processes, and fair understanding of the working of PostgreSQL).
