Lead UI/UX Designer

As a UI/UX lead for a luxury-commerce platform, your role involves creating wireframes, storyboards, and sketches to deliver beautiful and intuitive products. You will define product workflows, interactions, and UI specifications in close collaboration with product managers and the engineering team. Conducting user studies to understand design impact and constantly innovating to enhance user experience will be crucial. Additionally, you will lead the UI/UX team, including hiring and mentoring, develop personas, usage scenarios, and conduct usability testing. Qualifications required for this role include enthusiasm for working in a demanding startup environment, superb communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for extraordinary design. You should have 3+ years of user design or equivalent practical experience at a consumer-focused product company, dedication to exceptional user experiences with an obsessive attention to detail, and experience with prototyping using UX design tools. Ability to apply design principles across web, mobile, and native platforms is essential. Experience in building a team of UI/UX designers and leading them through complex projects would be a plus. While CSS, HTML, and Java Script are not required, knowledge of these would be beneficial. You should have 5-7+ years of proven UI/UX design and interactive work experience, high proficiency in popular design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision Studio, Figma, Photoshop, and After Effects, excellent project management and communication skills to ensure deadlines are met, and be an analytical and creative designer capable of understanding user needs and problem-solving. A strong desire to solve challenging problems, learn new things, and adapt to various roles within an early-stage company is essential. A Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
