Junior System Administrator

Job Title: Junior System Administrator Location: Dashrath , Vadodara Department: Information Technology Reports to: IT Manager Role Overview The Junior System Administrator supports the day-to-day operation of the organizations IT infrastructure. This role assists in maintaining servers, networks, user systems, and security controls while working closely with senior IT staff to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. It is an ideal position for individuals early in their IT career who are eager to learn and grow. Key Responsibilities System & Infrastructure Support Assist in the administration and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux servers Monitor system performance, availability, and backup processes Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VM ware, Hyper-V) Assist with cloud services administration (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, as applicable) User & Access Management Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts (Active Directory, Azure AD) Manage permissions, group policies, and access controls Provide Level 12 technical support to end users Network & Security Support Assist in maintaining network components (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches) Support endpoint security, patching, and antivirus solutions Follow IT security policies and assist in identifying potential risks Regular monitoring of SOC alerts IT Operations & Documentation Respond to incidents and service requests via ticketing systems Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps Assist with hardware and software installations and upgrades Support audits, compliance activities, and disaster recovery processes Required Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field 0–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration Internship or hands-on lab experience is a plus Technical Skills Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking concepts Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and endpoint management tools Understanding of IT fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP Exposure to scripting (Power Shell, Bash) is an advantage Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Willingness to learn and take initiative Good communication and documentation skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment
