Role Overview: As a Data Engineer at Bachatt, your role involves building and maintaining the enterprise data lake, designing ETL pipelines, developing ML models for forecasting, and creating AI agents/MCP integrations using LLM APIs. You will play a crucial part in transforming how India saves by targeting over 30 crore self-employed individuals and bringing them to invest in mutual funds to generate wealth beyond traditional instruments. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain the data lake on BigQuery, including ingestion, transformation, and scheduling - Design and implement ETL pipelines in Python across banking, ERP, and CRM sources - Experiment with and deploy ML models for cash forecasting and business predictions - Develop AI agents and MCP tool integrations using LLM APIs - Ensure data quality, monitoring, and alerting across pipelines Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of experience in Python ETL, including Pandas, NumPy, data modeling, and API integrations - Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, schema design, and performance tuning - Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, CloudRun, and Secret Manager - Expertise in data lake design, including ingestion from ERP/CRM systems like NetSuite and Salesforce, schema evolution, and data quality - Knowledge of REST API development and consumption, including OAuth and webhooks - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD for version control, and deployment basics Additional Company Details: Bachatt is a young Indian fintech startup founded by Anugrah Jain, Ankur Jhavery, and Mayank Agarwal with a vision to empower over 30 crore Indians to access a full suite of financial products through a simplified and curated experience.
