As an Associate - Data Scientist at Bain & Company, you will have the opportunity to work with the world's most ambitious change makers to define the future and achieve extraordinary results. With a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields, and 2-5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles, you will play a crucial role in supporting Bain's case teams globally. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making. - Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for business use cases. - Apply advanced analytics techniques such as segmentation, forecasting, optimization, and causal inference. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand problem statements and translate them into analytical solutions. - Work with data engineers to source, clean, and prepare data for modeling and analysis. - Create clear and compelling visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights effectively. - Support development of scalable analytics solutions and contribute to model deployment in production environments. - Evaluate model performance and continuously improve models through experimentation and iteration. - Contribute to development of reusable analytics assets and Bain intellectual property. - Stay updated with latest advancements in data science and machine learning techniques. Qualifications Required: - Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.). - Experience with machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis. - Familiarity with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design. - Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets at scale using SQL and/or big data tools. - Exposure to ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and derive actionable insights. - Strong data visualization and storytelling skills using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based libraries. - Prior exposure to consulting or working with cross-functional stakeholders is a plus. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the Consumer Products Center of Expertise, collaborating with Bains global Consumer Products Practice leadership, client-facing Bain leadership, and end clients to develop and deliver advanced analytics solutions. You will also work on implementing cloud-based end-to-end analytics solutions and contribute to the development of Bain's proprietary CP products and solutions.
