As a Software Engineer in the Digital Engineering Team at Baker Hughes, you will be part of the Digital Solutions business that focuses on providing intelligent technologies for monitoring and controlling energy extraction assets. Your role involves contributing to the development of a next-generation platform for intelligent decision-making to support the critical requirements of customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Working on back-end or front end using various languages and technologies based on project requirements. - Collaborating on enterprise-scale projects that involve aligning business needs with technical knowledge. - Learning technical frameworks and implementing best practices for scalable and maintainable code. - Estimating development tasks, understanding the product modules, and designing interfaces between them. - Developing RESTful services and APIs, implementing microservices, and utilizing containerization technologies. To excel in this role, you should: - Hold a degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors with 2-7 years of experience in full-stack development. - Demonstrate proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, .net, Python, and frontend technologies such as Angular and React. - Have hands-on experience with languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and databases like MySQL and Postgres. - Be skilled in building backend services, designing RESTful APIs, and implementing microservices. - Possess knowledge of message brokers like RabbitMQ/Kafka, front-end frameworks like Material UI and Bootstrap, and cloud platforms like Azure/AWS.
