About the role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at our Digital Solutions business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and quality of our software tools used for real-time monitoring of energy extraction assets. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques. - Providing mentorship to junior engineers and guiding quality engineering, test planning, and testing methodology for software projects. - Demonstrating proficiency in understanding, debugging, contributing to the codebase, diagnosing bugs, and formulating solutions to enhance product quality. - Developing and executing maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases. To excel in this position, you should: - Hold a bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with a minimum of 3 years of experience. - Possess the ability to write Java code for testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing). - Have experience in testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.). - Be proficient in test automation using Selenium. - Have familiarity with issue-tracking and agile project management systems like Jira, Green Hopper, Confluence, Rally, etc. At Baker Hughes, we value the individuality of our employees and offer flexible working patterns to accommodate diverse preferences and work styles.
